Mary Jeanne VAN APPLEDORN
(Holland, Michigan 1927)
Professeur de musique, compositrice, pianiste et chef d'orchestre américaine.
Elle décroche un Bachelor of music en 1948, un Master of music en 1950 à l'Eastman School of Music et à l'Université de Rochester à New York. En 1982, elle se forme à l'Institut of Technology du Massachussetts.
Elle enseignera à l'Eastman School of Music, la composition et la théorie musicale dès 1950.
Elle crée de nombreuses oeuvres pour orchestre et d'autres principalement pour le piano.
